Last year, Wisconsin routed BYU 40 – 6 but the Cougars had a makeshift quarterback and a discouraging defense. This year, the game is in Madison and while the outcome is expected to be the same, it is likely that the score will be much closer. Tanner Mangum is back at QB and thus far this season, the Cougars are balanced once again on offense and the defense has stepped up, limiting their two early season opponents to just over 300 yards. Behind Jonathan Taylor, the Wisconsin offense is still built on power but the Badger defense had troubles with New Mexico last week so they’ll need to clean that up in anticipation of a more efficient BYU offense.
