Rugby Magazine released its latest high school and U-19 rankings. Austin Westlake made the high school list, while Katy and The Woodlands are in the U-19 rankings.
For those who do not know, USA Rugby considers ‘high school’ to be school based, and U-19 to be club based. So, Katy might draw from several high schools, while Westlake draws from only one. A lot of people think it is a silly system, and a lot of people like it. We like kids playing rugby.

How is this ranking decided? Katy came third at Nationals last year, beating Belmont Shores? So this is confusing! Westlake also went to Nationals and scored high.

9) Westerville (Ohio) is going to be smoked this year at the Ohio state championship by Archbishop Moeller High School (who won state last year… 2011 is there third year of having a rugby team)
The royal irish beat westerville last year and moeller this year
to Jackson – Moeller won States last year because the Westerville Worms were at Nationals and could not compete in the States (Worms have won States for the the 13 years prior to last year). As far as these rankings go – they need updated – here is the latest!

It doesnt matter about about any of your comments because the Woodlands rugby team is going to win state westerns and nationals. considering they do have westerns this year.
